Labor Day Weekend Hours

This Friday, September 4th, Universal Imports will close at 12:00 PM as our team steps away for a company outing. It’s an opportunity to spend time together outside the showroom and shop, and to celebrate the people behind Universal Imports.

We will return for our regular Saturday hours on September 5th and look forward to assisting you then.

In observance of Labor Day, Universal Imports will be closed Monday, September 7th, allowing our team time to enjoy the holiday with family and friends.

This Monday we pause to remember the men and women who gave everything so we could live free.
Our family is deeply grateful for their sacrifice and for the families who carry that weight every day.

Winter in Rochester is rough on tires. Before the summer road trip season kicks off, give yours a quick check.
Start with the penny test. Drop a penny into the tread with Lincoln's head facing down. If you can see the top of his head, your tread is too low and it is time for new tires. Check both the center of the tire and the outer edges. Wear in the middle means overinflation. Wear on the edges means underinflation. Uneven wear from one side to the other often means an alignment issue.
Next, take a slow walk around each tire and look at the sidewalls. Any bulges, bubbles, or cracks are a serious red flag. A bulge means the internal structure of the tire is failing and it can blow out without warning. If you see one, do not drive on that tire. Get it replaced right away.
Finish with a pressure check. Hot summer pavement plus underinflated tires equals trouble.
