The process starts with thoroughly cleaning the affected areas to remove dirt, salt, grease, and debris that can trap moisture and accelerate corrosion. Any existing surface rust is then treated through sanding, grinding, and rust-prevention products to help slow further spread.

Once properly prepped, the area is dried, sealed, and test-fit to ensure the custom rust covers align correctly and provide the best protection possible. Additional coatings and undercoating can also be applied behind the covers for added long-term protection against harsh road conditions.
