Truth.

Looks like they have upped the snow amounts slightly. With the 30-50 mph winds, it could get messy Sunday night.

Looks like a couple inches of snow for our local area. Very windy and getting cold which will freeze things up quickly. Temps are supposed to drop significantly over a short period of time. The good news is it looks to happen overnight Sunday so we’ll wake up to a mess instead of getting caught out in it.

It’s going to get dangerously cold this weekend. Forecasters are now saying some snow is possible as well. Fill your gas tanks, get groceries now to prepare for several days of dangerous windchills. Please do not go anywhere in your car without extra clothing, gloves and face covering. If your car breaks down, it’s going to get cold inside very fast. A tow truck could be HOURS away. Think ahead and prepare now. Don’t forget about your pets!

Truth.

We just had a minor accident call outside of Eureka…no big deal and no one was hurt. The driver was not prepared well for the cold. I thought I was…..hands and face got cold in minutes. My snow bibs, boots and hat were good but my insulated gloves didn’t hold out long and my face got cold almost instantly in the little bit of wind. Sunday will be brutal. If you’re out and about please bring warm clothes along with a face covering. A simple flat tire could leave you stranded and if your engine stops that means no heat! Right now the roads are ice/snow covered and the plows have done a great job. That’s the good news. Bad news is a bit of wind is expected Sunday and it won’t take much to blow this fluffy snow around causing drifts in open areas. If you don’t NEED to be anywhere just stay home and stay warm. If you have animals outside take special attention to them as well 😉.
