From a difficult Friday to a podium Saturday at Road America.

This weekend looked a little different for Gou Racing. After sharing the car with the same lineup for the past three years, we welcomed Celso Neto to the team to drive alongside Eddie Gou due to scheduling conflicts.

The weekend could not have started much better. Celso and Eddie immediately showed strong pace, with the No. 55 setting the fastest time in FP1 and giving us plenty of confidence for the days ahead.

Unfortunately, FP2 brought a major setback when Eddie made heavy contact with the barrier in Turn 1. The car suffered considerable damage, but the Gou Racing crew immediately got to work with the same attention to detail, determination, and pursuit of perfection that they bring to every weekend.

With the limited time between FP2 and qualifying, we were unable to complete the repairs and install the windshield before the session. The crew continued working throughout the afternoon, and by the end of the day, the car once again looked showroom ready.

It is difficult to put into words how proud we are of this crew and the standard at which they operate. No shortcuts, no excuses, and no compromises.

The car was ready for the grid on Saturday, although we would have to start from the back after missing qualifying. The race began in wet conditions, with Eddie taking the opening stint on wet tires. In the first 40 minutes, he fought his way through nearly half of the field before handing the car over to Celso.

From there, strong driving by Celso and an excellent strategy from Trevor put the No. 55 into the lead with just 20 minutes remaining. Unfortunately, stubborn traffic cost us valuable momentum in the closing stages and allowed a competitor to get by shortly before the checkered flag.

Still, we leave Road America extremely proud and happy. What looked like a gloomy Friday turned into an incredible podium Saturday.

This is racing. Hurdles will always arise, but how a team responds when they do is what shows its true strength.

Happy Independence Day 🇺🇸

Today we proudly celebrate the 250 years of freedom, courage and spirit that make America so special. We are forever grateful to the brave men and women who have fought, served and sacrificed to defend this nation and the freedoms it represents.

May we never take for granted the courage, strength and sacrifice that allow us to live free.

Watkins Glen recap.

A strong weekend for Gou Racing at the Michelin Pilot Challenge LP Building Solutions 120.

We qualified 6th and knew we had a car capable of fighting at the front. Eduardo had a great opening stint, showing strong pace from the start and moving into the top 3 within the first 20 minutes of the race. He handed the car over to Eddie in 2nd place, putting us in a great position to keep fighting for the podium.

From there, we continued running in the top 3 and ultimately brought it home in 3rd place. Our strategy was strong, and if the race had gone fully green, we believe we had a real opportunity to fight for an even better result. Still, we leave Watkins Glen extremely happy, with a trophy and Audi’s first podium in the USA this year.

A big thank you to Trevor McClure for a great strategy call and to Stallion Motorsports for giving us a strong setup all weekend. The car had pace, the ex*****on was there, and the entire team delivered when it mattered.

Gou Racing continues to become more and more competitive with every race. We are proud of this result, grateful for everyone who makes it possible, and excited to keep building from here.

This weekend at Laguna Seca is a special one for us.

For the throwback event, the #55 Gou Racing Audi RS3 LMS will carry a livery inspired by a car raced by Eduardo Gou Sr. in Mexico during the 80s and 90s. He passed away in 2014, but his passion for racing is still a big part of everything we do today.

This design brings back to the 80-90s era GOU colors and branding from our family business, a reminder of our origins both on track and off. The original car competed in the Reto Neon series in Mexico, and even earlier, Eduardo Sr. raced in IMSA events in the 70s and 80s.

Being able to bring this livery back and run it at Laguna Seca means a lot to our family and our team. It is more than just a throwback, it is a tribute to the person who started it all for us.
