Work Schedule: This is a full-time position M-F. (Subject to weekend and night hour on-call duties)
Starting Pay: $50K - $90K p/yr

Job Summary:
• Reporting to Operations Manager and / or Dispatcher, the Wrecker Driver is responsible for the efficient and safe pick-up and delivery of customer vehicles to required destination.
• Must maintain a professional appearance.
• CDL not required but is a plus, ability to pass an in-depth background check is a must.
• Work accidents on major roadways in all types of weather conditions and during unpredictable hours of the day and night.
• Operate truck in a safe and legal manner in compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform all duties assigned by the Manager or Dispatcher.
• Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed.
• Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following: •
- Provide customers prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
- Advise Management immediately of all serious complaints or incidents.
- Practice conservative, cautious and courteous operating habits.
- Operate truck in compliance with safety regulations.
- Practice and promote teamwork.
Wrecker Operator - Specific Responsibilities and Skills
Load and unload vehicles safely.
Good mechanical aptitude is a must!
Preferred prior experience in wrecker operation / rigging / towing / lifting.
Ability to assess situations and decide appropriate and safe avenues for completing tasks in standard and emergency response cases.
Provide efficient, safe and professional pick-up and delivery of vehicles associated with fleet/lease, factory and dealer consignments.
Communicate with customers to verify vehicle information and condition of vehicle.
Complete condition reports as required by customer and complete paperwork related to the pick-up and delivery in an efficient and accurate manner.
Light-Duty Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a VA Towing DAD
• Must be able to pass in depth background check.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to drive vehicles with either standard or automatic transmissions.
• Effective customer relations, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to understand and adhere to Company policies in all areas.
• Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: The physical activity requirements of the position are from Medium to Heavy Physical Work. • Constant - watching, touching and listening • Frequent - standing, walking, talking, reaching, feeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, • Occasional - climbing, balancing, crawling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, lifting • Potential - running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations
• This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, minor potential physical hazards, such as electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to hot equipment and cleaning and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
