Got this 84 Sierra back on late August and have been working on just about everything. All new complete fuel system, complete brake system with Wilwood calipers and rotors, new engine cooling system, new 20's and new 285/35R20 rear and 255/40R20 front on Ridler 695's. Next week I'll be finishing up the interior and adding some exterior details to finish her up.

New project. Daddy O is out of the hospital and back to restoring old classics. This is a two owner 1984 GMC Sierra 1500 base model that was well kept by it's previous owners. Rocker panels are rust free and the undercarriage is nearly impeccable. Previous owner installed a 1971 SBC 350 with an OEM Rochester carb that was quickly replaced. Engine showed good compression on all cylinders and was fitted with long tube headers. I have since reinforced the chassis with front and mid frame brackets that reinforce the front end and can accommodate the transmission in it's new position and make room for the long tube headers to come through. A front Wilwood brake kit was installed on the new 2 inch drop spindles. New brake lines, brake proportioning valve and brake booster were also installed. A rear axle drop kit was also installed to match the front's drop spindles. I also installed a brand new set of Ridler 695 20 inch wheels, 20X10 in the rear and 20X8.5 in the front running on 255/45R20 in the front and 285/35R20 in the rear. A complete interior upholstery kit, including new door panels, insulation, carpeting, seat foam and covering, arm rests, rear mirror, escutcheons for all door handles, door window felts, handles, door lock cylinders, and a custom steering wheel as a finishing touch. The truck should be ready for paint next week and will afterwards receive a new grill, new bumpers and new headlights, markers and reflectors. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
