Another Berg 5. This one is going overseas. Basic 5. No Weddle main shaft, no 3.88. no rhino case or limited slip. Just 5 forward gears.

I love building to customers needs, desires and budget levels.

He wanted it powder coated gloss black but the place I sent it to really did me wrong.

I use an industrial high quality paint on all of my builds. It's over $20 a spray can . So I am happy with the results.

I learned a very long time to never say, "I have seen it all". This is a Bus IRS throw out bearing shaft for a 71 and later guided bearing. They converted it to the earlier style bearing. Looks like they had to do it twice. 😜

Sometimes I wonder why I kept some of the stuff I've kept over the years. This was one of 6 boxes of these reverse adjuster blocks. Every one of these represents a transmission that was scrapped. Times 6 boxes, that's more than anyone will ever need.

Lots of builds going on. I just finished this one yesterday and out of state customer picked it up this morning.

Drag swing. German 3.88, all Weddle gears, spool, billet side plates, gusseted rhino case, r.e.m. polished internals, new skf or fag bearings, new aluminum factory VW gear carrier, new sliders, etc. Very nice build.

My street car from around 1990. 84x94, Dean Lowry super flows heads, Italian 48s, fk91/89, magneto. It was fun. I was selling parts at Save a Bug which was a very popular VW shop owned by Steve Tims. I would give customers a ride in my car and scare them. Then I'd sell them a bunch of go fast parts. We'd install all the new "90's" look parts on the car to show what they looked like. I think I even made a 1/4 mile pass with a roof rack in Palmdale once.
