Customer came in stressed out of his mind. His paint was drying way too fast, couldn’t even finish a panel before it was already setting up on him. 😤
Kevin heard him from across the shop and already knew.
Fast reducer is the problem. summer heat. Paint has no time to flow and level out.
Grabbed the slow reducer off the shelf -gives the paint time to breathe and lay flat in high temperatures. Problem solved before he even finished explaining it.

Most paint jobs don't fail because of bad paint. They fail because of what happened before the paint.

Here are 5 prep steps the pros NEVER SKIP. Save this before your next job 💾

1. Sand to the right grit and don't skip steps
2. Clean with wax & grease remover before AND after sanding
3. Primer in thin coats, thick primer cracks
4. Let it flash properly between coats. Seriously, WAIT
5. Block sand your primer before any color goes on
