Last weekend’s Moto Madness Adventure Rally was a blast! Here’s a recap from dealership owner and event host

After a year of California Insurance woes causing the cancellation of many motorcycle related events, I am thrilled that the BMW MOA stepped in to host the 12th SoCal Moto Madness ADV Rally (formerly March Moto Madness), sponsored and organized by BMW Motorcycles of Riverside.
We moved this event to a brand-new venue – McCall Memorial Park in Mountain Cener, CA (near Idyllwild). Until very recently, this was an equestrian only park, and we were the first group to use the park for other purposes. It is small enough so we could book every single campsite, but large enough to comfortably spread out 100-150 people should we ever choose to go that big. McCall Park turned out to be perfect for motorcycle camping, had great facilities, and is a real scenic gem overlooking Hemet Valley and in the shadow of Mount San Jacinto.
Mountain Center is aptly named and offered spectacular on-highway and off-highway riding right out of the park entrance in every direction. No traffic and combat miles to get to a riding destination!
Many thanks to all those who attended and took a risk with this new location. We are especially thankful for the locals who were excited to lead small groups and shared their favorite rides. By all accounts, we may have found a home for many future editions of the Moto Madness Adventure Rally with virtually everyone begging to repeat this event at the same venue.
We are tentatively scheduling the 2027 event for April 29th or 30th to May 2nd. So, mark your calendar now!
