Been a while since I posted my work. Newest disaster. Long time client bought this truck for his 15 yr old son as 1st vehicle. Got great deal on it. Not a spot of rust, plenty of new parts and it ran great when he bought it but didn't immediately bring to me for assessment. Drove around for several days before bringing it to me. 20 miles away, the timing chain system fully failed. Luckily the valvetrain wasn't damaged. And it's an interference engine. 5.4L 3V Triton. Will post reassembly and final assessment once Oil Pump, Full timing service kit (CHAINS, GUIDES, TENSIONERS, PHASERS, GEARS, OIL CONTROL SOLENOIDS, GASKETS) left valve cover, timing cover, and sensors arrive from parts distributor.
