For those who had the pleasure of meeting him, you know just how special our sweet boy, Kotta, was. It breaks our hearts to share that he recently crossed the rainbow bridge. πΎππ
We adopted Kotta at 8 years old after he retired from serving as an Explosive Detection Dog overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. He joined our family not long after we opened the shop and quickly became a familiar, much-loved face to our employees and many of our customers.
After an accident a little over a year ago, Kotta was no longer able to come to work with us, but he continued living a life full of love, camping trips, traveling, and being spoiled beyond measure, alongside his sister Hollie.
Kotta passed at 13 years old. While our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the five years we were blessed to call him ours.
If we could ask one thing of you, it would be to carry a little bit of Kotta with you in your everyday life. Be brave, even when things are hard. Be resilient, even when life knocks you down. Be kind, even when you don't have to be. And above all, be someone's hero, even in the smallest of ways. Because if there's one thing Kotta taught us, it's that you don't have to do something extraordinary to make an extraordinary difference in someone's life.
Rest easy, sweet boy. Your watch is over. Thank you for your service, your loyalty, and all the love you gave us. You will be missed more than words can say πΎππ
