Hey everyone!! One of our 6.5 diesel friends is getting out of them and has a heck of an engine build for sale down by Hopkinsville Kentucky. Matt has a whole pile of goodies that need a new home and I figured what better place to post them than here. His contact is in the bottom of the post here. Happy shopping 6.5 people!

1.7:1 Harland sharp rocker set with smith bros custom push rods. 700
ARP 2000 pro head stud kit 650
Backing plate 125
Oil pump priming tool 125
Navistar 506 block-
Its main studded, main bearings replaced, new oil pump, new oil pan, arp stainless oil pan bolts. Has fly cut and coated pistons. I’d like to have 3k but I understand that’s steep.

Keep in mind all prices are obo. I will ship most all of it at buyers expense. I’m not getting rich by any means at any of those prices just trying to recoup some funds and send them to somewhere someone will use the stuff. Also have new Elgin lifters and factory push rod set I’ll throw in with either the block or the heads.

And now for something completely different…

Life’s busy. The 6.5 turbo stuff is on the back burner along with additional Sherman work. We had the exciting opportunity to replace the clutch pedal in the LBZ ZF6 due to the plastic one failing during the return trip home from work two Thursdays ago. After a lot of busted knuckles and being crammed under the dash for almost 4 hours it’s as good as new.

Last night we made it to the fair to go pulling again. I had to wrestle the truck down the track due to the TCM still panic shifting but, I think with a bit more power it could stay in second gear and be ok. We set new 6.5 pulling bests for us last night. Nightmares best hooks in 2.5 and workstock were 198’ and 207’. Here we are 7 years later in a truck that’s setup completely different with no parts from a certain brand on it and we went 206’ and 218’ in the same classes on a sticky track. What was amazing is we ran 18psi boost at 1270° peak doing this on the performance and tow tunes with minimal change in atmosphere. Pretty wild! To say I’m proud of the truck is an understatement and I can say we aren’t done yet. We are just getting started. Videos will be posted later or a link to YouTube so I can stitch them together.

It’s been a long week being under the weather but, we are getting the dually around to pull at the fair tomorrow night. No LBZ or be**er unless a miracle happens and I’m feeling like Superman when I wake up tomorrow. Some changes have been made to the ole dually and hopefully it can make a halfway decent pass tomorrow. As long as it drives on the trailer when we are done that’s a successful night of pulling for us. Hope to see some familiar faces tomorrow night at the lenawee county fair!

Tonight we got the multi tune installed in Sherman and went out for a drive. The Buddy Tune three position has an optimized stock, tow tune and performance mode. EGTs maxed at 970 in Econ, 1170 in tow and 1270 in performance. All three tunes we did a pedal to the metal 0-60 test in Mexico. I can definitely say we found our boost leak once the tuna no crust performance tune was in!
