A Project Close to Home!💙
At Arete QIS, we’re proud to call Daguscahonda home. Our family has grown up here for generations, and this community along with the natural beauty that surrounds it, means a great deal to us.
That’s why this recent project with the Elk County Conservation Elk County (PA) Conservation District was especially meaningful!
For many years, Arete QIS has held fishing derbies down at our creek for employees and their families. It has always been a place to gather, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories together. Over time, however, the creek bank began to erode, eventually becoming unsafe and making it difficult for us to continue the derby.
We’re excited to say that has changed!
Through our partnership with the Elk County (PA) Conservation District, the creek bank has been stabilized, helping make the area safer and giving us the opportunity to bring our fishing derby back next summer!
We especially want to recognize Sarah Love, a Watershed Technician, who has been an incredible help throughout this entire project. Sarah and the Elk County Conservation District team were respectful, professional, knowledgeable, and did an amazing job. We are extremely grateful for the time, care, and effort they put into helping us restore this special part of our property.
For us, this project is about more than repairing a creek bank. It’s about our community’s connection to nature, preserving a place that has been part of our family’s history for generations, and making sure future generations can enjoy it, too!
A huge thank you for helping us take care of a little piece of Daguscahonda that means so much to our family, our employees, and our community.
