In the middle of devastation, where Mother Nature has no favorites, it’s truly amazing to see a community come together with one simple goal: to help one another.
To help people get through the chaos, find a little comfort, and reach a place where they can finally breathe again.
My heart, appreciation, and deepest respect go out to every person who has stepped up to help—whether it’s a neighbor, a first responder, a volunteer, a stranger, or someone simply doing whatever they can.
My prayer is that when the water finally goes down, the helping doesn’t stop. I hope we continue to look out for our neighbors, near and far, and remind those who have lost so much that they don’t have to face what comes next alone.
Because the reality is, life may look very different after this. There will be a new normal to navigate, and I pray that within that new normal, they can find healing, hope, peace, and eventually, a reason to smile again.
When everything else is washed away, may we never lose our humanity. ❤️🙏
