Auto Body Technician

Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Auto Body Technician with at least 3 years of hands-on collision repair and body work experience. The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, excels at diagnostic problem-solving, and can work efficiently both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform body repairs, including sheet metal repair, dent pulling, frame straightening, and body panel replacement or alignment.
* Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting (sanding, masking, priming, and block sanding).
* Disassemble damaged vehicles, perform thorough teardowns, and assess structural/cosmetic damage.
* Reassemble repaired vehicles to ensure proper fit, finish, and alignment.
* Utilize shop equipment safely and effectively (welding tools, pullers, frame machines, etc.).
* Inspect completed work to ensure it meets safety standards and shop quality controls.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional auto body/collision repair experience.
* Tools: Own set of basic body tools preferred (shop provides specialty equipment).
* Skills: Proficient in metal work, plastic repair, panel alignment, and minor frame work.
* Certifications: I-CAR or ASE certifications are a strong plus (or willingness to obtain).
* Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
* Attributes: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and good time-management skills.
