JOB TITLE: Automotive Body Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION: A body repair technician is able to repair vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Thoroughly examine vehicle damages.
· Repairing vehicles to factory specifications.
· Having the ability to remove vehicle trims to gain access to the vehicle's anatomy.
· Can properly fill depressions with body filler.
· Able to excise damaged parts using power tools.
· Able to weld and bolt back replacement parts back to factor specs whiles using welding tools and power equipment tools.
· Straighten bent frames using frame machine.
· Use of hand tools for Filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces.
· Make cosmetic repairs
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
· Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections
· Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

· 1-4 years body shop experience strongly preferred.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
· Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.
· Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
· Excellent problem-solving skills required.
· Customer Focus
· Organization
· Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks; manual dexterity
· Lifting
