New law about tow fee .

California's AB 987, a bill regarding vehicle towing and storage fees, was passed by the California General Assembly on September 15, 2025, and sent to the Governor. Introduced by Assembly Member LaShae Sharp-Collins, the bill expands the definition of "unreasonable" storage and towing fees, specifying that fees on state holidays exceeding the daily rate are unreasonable and adding a provision for unreasonable towing fees during emergencies.
