Another vehicle serviced at KUMA Automotive in Redding, CA!

We recently worked on a 2011 Ford Fusion 2.5L, replacing the EGR valve and cleaning the EGR passages.

After the repair, we used our diagnostic equipment to check the EGR system and confirm that it was responding properly.

The customer also mentioned engine vibration when the A/C was turned on. During our inspection, we found a damaged engine mount and recommended replacement.

Another Jeep back on the road!

Just finished up this 2019 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L. This one was a pretty big job involving some major engine work.

We removed the driver's side cylinder head, performed extensive engine repairs, and replaced the head gasket, timing components, water pump, thermostat, and spark plugs.

Got everything back together, and the road test went great!

It's always satisfying to finish a big job like this and get another vehicle back on the road.

🔧 Volvo S60 — Diagnosis

A Volvo S60 came in with an engine running issue.

After checking the ignition and fuel systems, we performed a compression test and found no compression in cylinders 1 and 2.

Based on the test results, we confirmed that the issue involves the internal mechanical components of the engine.

We explained our findings and repair options to the customer.

🚨 Check Engine Light On? Don’t Guess — Diagnose It Properly.

Today, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter came into KUMA Automotive with a Check Engine Light and a loss of power while driving uphill.

We scanned the vehicle and found multiple DPF-related fault codes. Instead of simply clearing the codes or replacing parts based on a guess, we checked the live data and found an abnormal reading from the DPF differential pressure sensor.

Proper diagnosis helps identify the actual problem before money is spent on unnecessary repairs.

Another one back on the road 👍

This 2011 Jeep Liberty came in with the Check Engine Light on and transmission code P0750. The customer already had the parts and asked us to install them.

We replaced the transmission solenoid pack, input and output speed sensors, and transmission filter. We then refilled the transmission with the correct fluid, cleared the codes, and took it out for a test drive.

Everything is working normally now. The transmission is shifting properly, the Check Engine Light stayed off, and the Jeep is back on the road.

We normally close at 3 PM on Saturdays, but we stayed late today to finish this one up so our customer could get their Jeep back and back on the road today. Glad we were able to get it done! 👍

Eric and his family were traveling from Monterey, CA to Spokane, WA when they experienced unexpected vehicle trouble.
