Congratulations!

A retirement announcement from Red Wing Ace Hardware’s Troy and Lisa Daniels.

You may have heard the rumors and now it is official, we are retiring from the hardware business and are excited to hand over the keys at the end of September to Casey and Kayla Waltz, owners of the Waltz Ace Hardware .



We have been working on a retirement plan for several years, including a search for owners that would be a fit for our customers and community. We are excited that another local family with a successful hardware business of their own will build on the legacy our family started 41 years ago.



Earl and Carol Hubred, Lisa’s parents, opened Coast-to-Coast Hardware store in downtown Red Wing in 1985. We worked with them for many years before taking over the business from them in 2004. Earl and Carol were pioneers in changing the way Red Wing experienced a local hardware store. We are proud of how the business has grown. Customer relationships were the cornerstone of our success and we thank you for that.



We are excited to transition the business to the Waltz family with taking over on September 29th. We know the store, our customers, our employees and the community will be in good hands. They have family ties to Red Wing. Kayla was born and raised here and Casey is from Ellsworth. They both have lots of family and friends in the area. We want to thank our customers and community for supporting our family over the years.

We are honored to have been a part of Red Wing and look forward to our long-awaited next chapter.

Congratulations Todd!

Today, we share this post with heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the dedication, compassion, and care that our funeral director, Todd Otteson, has shown to the families we serve and our community over the past 38 years.

Todd has officially joined the ranks of the retired, and while we are excited for him as he begins this well-earned new chapter, he will be deeply missed. His gentle presence, unwavering guidance, tireless work ethic, and genuine compassion have left a lasting impact on our staff, our families, and our community. While no one is truly irreplaceable, Todd's contributions and the difference he has made will never be forgotten.

Please join us in thanking Todd for his remarkable 38 years of service and wishing him every happiness, good health, and countless new adventures in retirement.

Congratulations, Todd, and thank you for everything. Best wishes on your retirement!
