PSA: 4L80, 4L60, 700r4 and 200r4 builders. Transmission cooler ports are NOT a NPT fitting. Because the world has to be difficult… we have NPT (national pipe taper) and NPS (national pipe straight). NPT used a taper so the shear interference of threads seals a fitting while NPS has straight threads and utilizes a gasket or sealing washer..
Anyways using a tapered thread (NPT) fitting on these transmission can crack the case easily costing someone a lot of money 🙃
