In the spring of 2002 we became a franchisee of the Rent-A-Wreck system to off an alternative to the high priced car rentals offered by the on airport car rental companies. Since them we have strived to offer clean non-smoking late model cars, minivans, sport utilities, pickup trucks and 15 passenger vans. We took a slightly different approach to taking reservations, we do not overbook. A guarante
ed reservation is just that a guarantee, we will have a vehicle for you. You will have a vehicle for the time reserved and for the price reserved. We will never put you in a smaller vehicle than the one you reserved. We do offer free customer pick up and customer drop off at Rapid City Regional Airport. Please be aware that if we pick you up at the airport or you leave the car at the airport. A 7% Airport User Fee will be assessed on the time and miles portion of the rental and will be remitted to Rapid City Regional Airport. If you would like to explore other options for getting to us for a rental car, please give us a call. We do offer free customer pick up and customer drop off at hotels and motels in Rapid City. If you cannot get the car during business hours or would like to have the car delivered that can be arranged in advance with a reservation. You can also leave the car at the hotel or motel and we can pick it up the next business morning at no cost to you. We do offer for a limited number of campgrounds in and around Rapid City to deliver a vehicle right to your camp site or cabin and pick it up when you are done. A minimum of a 2 day rental is required for delivery and pickup. Please contact us for specific campgrounds and details. You will need at the time of rental, a valid state issued Driver’s License or International Driver’s License in the renter’s name. A VISA, MasterCard or Discover credit card in the renter’s name. A minimum of liability insurance is required for renting a vehicle. If renter does not have Collision and Comprehensive coverage that is transferable to our rental vehicle, Loss Damage Waiver (LCW) will be required to be purchased at the time of rental. Please be aware that certain types of vehicles in our fleet will require the renter to have Collision, Comprehensive and Liability coverage that is transferable to the rental vehicle. If you are paying with a bank issued debit card with a VISA or MasterCard Logo and you are traveling by airplane, staying at one of the hotels/motels that we regularly serve. Staying at one of the campgrounds that we deliver too. The same qualifications and deposit as a credit card user. Please be aware that not all vehicle types are available when paying by a bank issued debit card. For all other renters paying by bank issued debit card we may require the further documentation. We may require recent utility bill, cell phone bill, bank statement in the renters name matching the address on the driver’s license. Proof of insurance in affect and a deposit of up to $350.00 plus the estimated rental at time of rental. We do not accept cash or checks for deposit or payment for rentals for non-corporate accounts. For our customers who opt for using the benefits provided by their credit card to provide physical damage coverage for the rental car. The renter is responsible to pay us for any or all damage to the rental car. We will provide the documents necessary upon request to help get reimbursement from your credit card provider. We will not assume the responsibility of settling the claim on behalf of the card holder.
