Good evening everyone.

Well today I went to see Dr. Johnson at Carle for ..
2 x-ray's (both hands)
Injection in the right joint.
What to do with the left thumb?
Have you ever "hyper extended" anything? Knee? Elbow? Imagine that pain while reading below 👇🏽
My left thumb is in a state of hyper extension 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So what next?
That's a great question! We talked with Dr. Johnson at great length, he recommended getting a second opinion with a well respected surgeon at Rush hospital up by Chicago. I will tell you this much, as of this very second in my head the future seems very bleak for me. I'm trying not to get down too much, however I've worked 36ish years to get to the level I'm at just to have my fu***ng hands give out??
What does this mean for the future? I will be slowing down and I will be particularly careful in deciding on what jobs to take on and what jobs not to do. I will pass on jobs that are going to be especially harder on my hands. I will more than likely limit the work I do daily and leave myself a longer amount of time to do an installation that my hands approve of. As I type this I want to throw up, I feel defeated, tired, disappointed and just sad 😢
So I'm watching one of my favorite movies "Batman" from 1989, it seems to calm me.

Sometimes being a small business owner feels completely overwhelming.

It’s not just doing the actual jobs. It’s answering phone calls, returning texts, scheduling customers, writing up estimates, ordering parts, keeping up with paperwork, and trying to get every job finished on time.

And on top of all of that, I’m dealing with extreme pain in my hands, which makes a lot of the physical work even more difficult.

I’m not posting this for sympathy—just being honest about what goes on behind the scenes. I love what I do and I appreciate every single customer who trusts me with their vehicle. But some days, keeping up with everything is a real struggle.

So if I’m a little slower getting back to you, or it takes a little longer to get an estimate or job completed, please know I’m doing my best. There’s only one of me, and lately I’ve been trying to keep the wheels turning while dealing with some pretty tough pain.

Good evening everyone..

I wanted to let everyone know what's been going on, especially if you've noticed I've been moving slower or haven't been myself.

I may have injured my left hand/wrist again—the same one that's already been surgically repaired twice. The pain has become unbearable at times. Today, I could barely twist the cap off a bottle, and that's when it really hit me just how bad things have gotten.

I've been taking my prescribed pain medication and muscle relaxers in an attempt to get some relief, but despite that, the pain has been far worse than anything I've experienced in the past. It's been constant, intense, and has made even the simplest everyday tasks incredibly difficult.

I'm hoping this is just a setback and not another major injury, but after everything this hand has already been through, I'm definitely concerned. If I'm slower to respond, have to reschedule work, or need a little extra patience, I truly appreciate your understanding.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and my small business. Your kindness, encouragement, and patience mean more than you'll ever know. I'm hoping for answers soon and, more importantly, some relief.

Unfortunately, I'll be closed tomorrow Saturday July 25th.

Many of you know I've been dealing with ongoing pain in my hand for quite some time. Even with regular injections and pain medication, there are days when the pain becomes more than I can work through. This past week has been especially difficult, and I've reached the point where I need to take a day to rest and let my hand recover.

As a small business owner, taking a day off is never an easy decision. It means appointments have to be rescheduled and work gets pushed back, but I also know I can't provide the quality of service my customers deserve when I'm struggling with this much pain.

I truly appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and continued support. It means more than you know. I'll be back as soon as I can and will respond to messages and get everyone rescheduled as quickly as possible.
