Today we transferred the front Hotchkis bar to the new chassis. Tomorrow the rear goes in and we'll make a few height and damping adjustments. New street tires also arrived this week :)

Unfortunately, several months ago our E 46 track project was destroyed when it was rear ended while parked. To make matters worse, ZipCar the owner of the car is refusing to pay. In the meantime, we bought another daily driver a 2005 ZHP in near perfect condition. It has ISC coil overs that need adjustment badly…. We will post all the adjustment settings when we get around to it!!!

The E46 slowest track project in history developed a miss. All the plugs were loose and the number 2 plug had tracking up the ceramic. To add to that the valve cover gasket was leaking profusely into the spark plug area. Upon removing the valve cover the spark plug gaskets were hard as a rock and broke apart. They were probably not changed when the VC gasket was and began leaking at some point.

After buttoning up the valve cover we noticed something odd. The oil filter cap o-ring was bulging, it indicates the old one was never removed. When the cap was removed we replaced the filter and o-ring. And sure enough there were 2 o-rings... one was permanently flat like a ribbon and the other was soft but could not seat properly... she's now buttoned up and runs like a champ...

The rubber seal and trim needed refreshing... we removed the trims one side at a time. Using black vinyl they were covered. We also replaced the rotted rubber trim with a $14 rubber trim from Amazon.

We swapped out Koni FSD's and H&R race springs for Bilstein sports and factory BMW sport springs. When coupled with Hotchkis sway bars set full stiff it makes for a very streetable set up.

We also found the sound of our front rotor noise ha ha

After repairing the A pillars we decided to install the C pillars that came with the car. Along with that we hardwired the DR650S 2CH cameras. Blackvue makes the best onboard cameras I have worked with.

We were finally able to get the rear seat in along with a pair of VERY nice rear cards and a door seal from our friends at Valley Motorwerks

The felt was removed from the passenger side, Valley was preparing a race car and gently removed the parts we needed!

Finished wrapping the trim pieces for the dash. The job is a 8.5 out of 10 and I learned a lot, like use heat to set the adhesive haha. The Vvivid material is VERY pliable when warmed up and is easy to work with. The trick is laying the heat gun down and using both hands on the piece your'e working with.

Step 2 is to try their flocked vinyl on the A pillars as a test.
