Huge thanks to Travis Nord on guiding me through my first engine rebuild! I was able to get the final 2 coats of paint on the engine today. I used KBS Motor Coater 68 Caravelle Metallic Blue which turned out amazing! Now to clean up my intake, oil pan, and valve covers so that they can be installed.

I rebuilt the Chrysler 400bb engine for the 68 Dodge truck with the knowledge of a good friend. First time rebuilding an automotive engine so hopefully it runs and is reliable! A few of the pics were seeing how the Mickey Thompson valve covers and the dual quad intake will look. I still need to add a few more coats of pain on the engine. The engine color is 1968 AMC Caravelle Blue which should look really good with the sun shining on it!

I went and picked up a camper for the 68 Dodge build. I got the outside washed and swept out and vacuumed the inside. I need to deep clean the inside and find some new cushions to replace the old 1970s foam and replace the old linoleum that is starting to curl up.

Tore down my engine for the 68 Dodge truck on Friday and sent the block and heads off to get cleaned and decked. Painted the front axle Saturday and got the front leaf springs installed with new bushings and started installing the rear leaf spring bushings, drop shackles and drop hangers.

Cleaned the 400 up yesterday and pulled the bland 2bbl intake off and had to set the Chrysler 350ci dual quad intake on to see how it would look. Now to clean the heads up to let it breath better!
