Happy Veterans Day 🇺🇸

10/23/2021

Hey everyone! Once again, I just felt like I needed to touch base with all our loyal customers. We’re still dealing with insurance, so that’s why that big pile of rubble is still sitting there, on the property that once was our livelihood. We want to thank everyone that has reached out to us, either by phone, text, messenger, or in person. It really warms our hearts to hear all the well wishes from everyone. For those that haven’t heard yet, we are not rebuilding. It was a hard decision, but James has acquired a full time job that he is happy with. I have taken on a full time job, but it is only temporary. From here on out, we’ll see where the good Lord takes us. Once again, thank you all for all the wonderful years & God bless you all! 😘

Making this post has to be the hardest thing James & I have ever had to do. Since Hurricane Ida decided it wanted our building, we have done a lot of talking, soul searching & praying, & have come upon the decision that we are to young to retire, but to old to rebuild. We haven’t made any decisions on our future yet, but we are blessed to have been given some options. Since 1981, we have truly had some of the best customers that anyone could have asked for. James & I took over the business in 1997, when his dad retired, & those customers just continued coming. Y’all have seen our good times & our bad times. Y’all have waited for us when we’ve had to close for numerous health issues, & for all of that, we are truly grateful. There is no way that we are saying goodbye, but a proper way is to say, we’ll see y’all later! We love you all & stay safe!

Before & after! 😢😢😢

I guess y’all have figured by now that James & I have a lot of soul searching to do. We spent our 1st day trying to clean up some, but there’s a lot more to do. We also have work at home & our rental trailer. We can not say at this time if we will ever reopen. All we can say at this time is thank you to all our customers since the shop opened in 1981. We love you all, & we hope that Ida was not to harsh to you & your families. We all will come back stronger from this. We just have to take it one day at a time. 🙏😢

I was hoping I wouldn’t have to make this post, but the shop is gone! 😩😢

08/28/2021

Hey everybody! I guess y’all figured out by now that the shop will not be open Monday. We will access any damages as soon as we can, & go from there. It’s all in Mother Nature’s hands right now. Just pray that we can open soon. We’re really concerned about the strength of the building. 🙏😢
