🏁 Bernie Plourd — Las Vegas, Here We Come!

Sometimes a dream doesn’t have an expiration date.

After years of racing, working, building, and never giving up, Bernie Plourd and team are getting ready to take on a brand-new challenge — his first NHRA Top Fuel race in Las Vegas!

From October 29–November 1, 2026, Bernie and the Plourd Motorsports team will be at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the Right Trailers Top Fuel dragster, for the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals. This is one of the biggest weekends on the NHRA schedule, and Top Fuel qualifying begins Friday.

And Bernie isn’t going to Vegas just to say he was there.

He’s going there to race.
To compete.
To chase another dream.
And to show that you’re never too old to set a new goal and go after it.

With the dedicated diehard drag racing fan base that’s out there, we know most (if not all) of you are familiar with Drag Illustrated’s 30 under 30! It’s amazing to see all of the rising young talent in this sport, and that alone deserves to be celebrated! We’re thankful to have one of our own that we feel is incredibly deserving of being recognized right alongside those very people…

Austin plays a central role in every major decision our Top Fuel team makes. His technical expertise, leadership, and relentless work ethic elevate our entire program, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have him onboard! He is exactly the kind of rising talent Drag Illustrated’s 30 Under 30 was created to honor, so of course, we’ve nominated him! Regardless of the outcome there, we thought we’d recognize him here while also extending a huge “Thank You” for all he’s done! Let’s show him some love!

“Just got my paperwork in the mail and it’s incredible, still doesn’t feel real, Ronna & I have our own T/F team and I am a licensed driver !" We would love to be in Martin Michigan but didn’t want to rush things… Have you seen the price of diesel ? So, we are holding off and aiming to be Dallas in a month so we can stock the shelves and fix some things on the Right Trailers, BPK car after Indy . Super happy with the 4.06@296 and know we have a car that can run, who knows, a little tweak here and there by Austin and we can be in the middle of it all ! Actually got a new number.... 61 👊 The dream will continue ! Thanks to all who subscribe and feel free to share !
