In our town of Quartzsite in the winter we have folks that help others who are struggling. They have a god heart with beautiful mission. At Solar Bill we try to support them as much as possible. At this time their bus is out of commission. In order to help them to help others they are requesting our support.
Quick update from the road… ❤️
We are still sitting at $3,000 raised, and this morning Martian walked around town trying to find side work or odd jobs. Unfortunately with it being Memorial Day weekend, almost everything is closed.
Right now we have two possible opportunities for replacement rigs. One is an Airstream someone may work with us on for $6,000. The other is a diesel pusher that would be much more ideal for the long miles ahead, but it’s $10,000. Truthfully, we know which one would better fit the mission… but in our situation, we may simply have to take what we can get, as long as it’s reliable enough to get us back on the interstates helping people again.
We know there are some people who don’t understand how we survive doing what we do. But for 8 years, the people we’ve helped firsthand have kept this mission alive through donations, kindness, encouragement, and belief in what we stand for. We have never forced anyone to help us. People help because they experience the mission with their own eyes.
The negativity has been heavy lately, but we aren’t giving up. After 8 years of sacrificing comfort to help strangers across this country, we truly believe this is our calling in life.
