🚨 SNOWBIRD SEASON IS HERE! 🚨

You know what that means… the license plates are changing, the traffic is getting busier, and our appointment calendar is filling up faster than a Florida pool on a sunny Saturday! 😂🦩🚗

If your vehicle needs some attention before you start putting miles on it, schedule your appointment soon! Once those snowbirds fully land, available spots can disappear quicker than sunscreen at the beach. 😎☀️

🦩🚗 IT’S ALMOST THAT TIME OF YEAR… SNOWBIRD SEASON! 🚗🦩

Up North, they’re getting ready for changing leaves, cooler temperatures, and pumpkin everything. 🍂🎃

Down here in Florida, we’re getting ready for the annual migration of license plates! 😂

Before you know it, the roads will be filled with more out-of-state plates than Florida plates… and somebody will be doing 42 MPH in the left lane because they’re “just taking in the scenery.” 😜

🛠️ The good news: We still have some openings in our schedule!

The not-so-good news? Those openings won’t last forever. Once snowbird season gets rolling, our schedule can fill up weeks out.

If your vehicle needs maintenance, an inspection, brakes, A/C service, tires, or those repairs you’ve been putting off since approximately… forever ago, now is a great time to get it scheduled.

📅 Call or schedule your appointment before the snowbirds beat you to it!

And while you’re making your appointment…

We did it.

Last night, a lifelong mechanic wore white all night and somehow returned home without a single grease mark on it. I'll be accepting nominations for that award next year.

In way more exciting news, also last night, we were named the 2026 Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year. And I'll tell you, there were some damn good businesses in that room. When we found out we'd made the final three, I honestly thought that was already a huge win. To actually be chosen from that group is incredibly humbling.

When I started Walt's Garage, I didn't know how to run a business. I knew how to fix cars. The plan was pretty simple: be honest with people, treat them like family, and do the job right. Somehow, that little idea grew into this.

But this award doesn't have my name on it. It belongs to the incredible team at Walt's Garage who show up every day and take care of our customers. It belongs to Karie and my family, who've been beside me through all of it. And it belongs to every customer who trusted us, came back, told a friend, left us a review, or gave a little repair shop a chance.

Punta Gorda, you built this with us. Your support has allowed us to grow, and more importantly, it's put us in a position where we can give back to the community that gave us our chance in the first place. To the Punta Gorda Chamber, our fellow nominees and finalists, our team, our customers, our friends and our community:

Thank you. This one means a whole lot to us. ❤️

🚨🚗 YOUR CAR HAS BEEN HIDING THINGS FROM YOU. 🚗🚨

It’s September, which means it’s time to find out what your vehicle has been up to behind your back. 👀😂

We have 2 SPECIALS running for the month of September.

🔍 1/2 OFF A COMPREHENSIVE VEHICLE INSPECTION!
We’ll check it from bumper to bumper and find the stuff your car is hoping you DON’T notice.

That weird noise? 👂
That mysterious leak? 💧
That warning light you’ve been ignoring since approximately the Obama administration? 😬
Yep… we’ll find it.

❄️ AND… $25 OFF AN A/C DIAGNOSTIC!

Because in Florida, “my A/C isn’t working” isn’t a minor inconvenience.

It’s a SURVIVAL SITUATION. 🥵🔥

If your A/C is currently blowing air that can best be described as “Florida swamp with a fan,” it’s probably time to give us a call. 😂

📅 Schedule NOW! These specials are only around for September, and appointments are disappearing faster than cold air when your A/C compressor gives up.

📍 Walt’s Garage
130 E Ann St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950
📞 941-637-8988

Come see us before your car decides to celebrate September by breaking something expensive. 🎉💸

🚨🚗 STOP LEAK? MORE LIKE STOP EVERYTHING! 😂

We know… you’ve got a leak. You found a bottle of stop leak at the parts store. The bottle says it’s going to save you hundreds of dollars.

What could possibly go wrong? 😬

Well… quite a bit.

Stop-leak products can circulate through your vehicle and clog small passages and components that are supposed to stay open and flowing. Depending on the system, that can mean problems with radiators, heater cores, cooling systems, water pumps, transmissions, and more.

Basically, you’re taking a leak and saying:

"I don't want to fix the problem… let's introduce a NEW problem!" 😂

🔧 Why we don't recommend stop leak:

❌ It doesn't actually repair the failed component
❌ It can restrict coolant or fluid flow
❌ It can clog passages and components
❌ It can make diagnosing the original problem harder
❌ It can turn a small repair into a BIG repair
❌ Some products can create warranty headaches

Our advice? Find the leak. Fix the leak. Don't marinate your vehicle in mystery goo. 😂

If your vehicle is leaking, overheating, losing fluid, or doing something it definitely shouldn't be doing, bring it to us before reaching for the bottle that promises miracles.

Save the headache. Skip the stop leak. Let us fix it right. 🔧😎

🚗💸 THINK YOU FOUND A GREAT DEAL ON A USED CAR?

Before you hand over your hard-earned money… let us take a peek under the hood. 😎🔧

Whether you’re buying from a dealer or a private seller, a pre-purchase inspection could save you from turning that “great deal” into your new favorite money pit. 😂

At Walt’s Garage, our purchase inspections can look at things like:

🔧 Engine & transmission condition
🛞 Brakes, tires & suspension
💧 Oil, coolant & fluid leaks
⚡ Electrical systems & warning lights
❄️ A/C & heating operation
🔍 Steering & suspension components
🧰 Undercarriage & visible damage
💻 Computer diagnostics & trouble codes
📸 Overall condition and signs of previous repairs or neglect

And here’s the important part: we’re not there to sell you the car. We’re there to help you understand what you’re actually buying.

Because a shiny car, a clean CarFax and a salesperson saying, “It runs great!” are nice… but they don't exactly count as a mechanical inspection. 😂

Before you buy it, inspect it.
A small inspection fee can save you from a BIG repair bill later.
