This Helio Turbine Courier is one of the wildest machines we've had the chance to fly. 550 SHP off a PT6-20 turbine conversion, a 4-blade MT Monster prop, and a wing that just won't stall. Takeoff in 130 feet. Climbing to 12,500 in under 6 minutes. Landing in 110. It does things most airplanes just can't.

"I can't afford to run a turbine." We hear it all the time, and it's a myth. We sat down with Ken Meines of Turbine Motor Conversions to talk about why low maintenance and insane longevity make turbines one of the best engines to own long-term. I've seen it firsthand: an engine I personally ran hit 29,000 hours flying max torque on spray work.
