We keep seeing this issue across all bike sizes and brands—people are over-tightening holeshot devices on their forks, which causes the outer and inner fork tubes to bind. These only need a small amount of torque plus some locite to stay put, but most folks crank them down too hard. It doesn't matter what brand you're using, they'll all have the same problem if you over-tighten them. Just check the instruction sheet for the proper torque specs when you're installing yours.

In 2026 all brands have great bikes, but I've been spending a lot of time around these new Yamaha 250F's lately. It's amazing how good these bikes are with a suspension revalve, exhaust, and some mapping. The upgrades really make a difference in performance.

We just installed a WP steering stabilizer on a Yamaha YZ250F. This brand of components is normally on KTM models, and Honda has been using a Showa model for years too. The stabilizer will help out at the motocross and off-road events the customer will be going to . Pretty cool to have awesome components and parts to be able to pull this off.

This KTM SX 50 turned out awesome. I've been doing this long enough that customers I met at the beginning are now having kids, and their kids are riding. I guess I'm getting old!
