Yesterday, we shared a post from a builder showing a completed Crown Vic. Unfortunately, we overlooked the down tubes on the rear of the roll cage, which are not allowed under our rules. We have since addressed this with the builder, and those bars will be removed.
Let us be very clear: High Banks Speedway will be black and white when it comes to enforcing the rules. If you are unsure how a rule reads or what is allowed, we strongly suggest you reach out and ask for clarification before building your car. Situations like this are exactly why rulebooks end up being five or more pages long and unnecessarily complicated.
We also want to make something else very clear. We don’t really care how things used to be done at this racetrack. We are moving forward, not looking backward. The rules will be followed, they will apply equally to everyone, and favoritism will not be tolerated at our facility. We don’t care who you are, who you know, or how long you’ve been racing here. Everyone will be held to the same standard.
Things are not going to be the same at this racetrack as they were in the past, and that’s intentional. We are investing a tremendous amount of time, money, and effort into making High Banks Speedway one of the best racing facilities around. That doesn’t stop with the improvements to the property. It includes how the facility is operated, how competitors are treated, and how consistently the rules are enforced.
Fair racing, clear rules, equal treatment, and no favoritism. That’s what you can expect at High Banks Speedway.
