A motocross boot can match your shoe size and still be wrong once you stand on the pegs.

Your normal shoe size is only the starting point.

Before keeping a pair of motocross boots, test them with the socks and knee protection you actually ride in:

1. Your toes are not pressed into the end.
2. Your heel and ankle feel secure without painful pressure.
3. The buckles close with usable adjustment remaining.
4. You can hold a riding stance without sharp pinching.
5. You can operate the shifter and rear brake without the boot interfering.

MX boots are protective equipment, so they will usually feel stiffer than casual footwear. Follow the manufacturer’s size guidance and complete the fit check before riding.
