We've been working our way through the history of the automobile trying to find out when the car became what we know today. We've spent the last several months in Europe, but it's time to come home to the US and take a look at the first American automobiles. We're focusing on John William Lambert to can take the credit of creating the first American automobile, the Buckeye Gasoline Buggy.

Spraying season is in full swing, so we're making sure this truck is ready to head for the field! Please keep our farmer neighbors in mind when you're driving on our country roads. Last month, we covered the first practical car for everyday use. This month, we might as well cover the world's first road trip! Karl Benz's wife, Bertha, gets the spotlight this month as the first person to make a long-distance journey in an automobile. But Bertha wasn't just a pretty face, she was also the mechanic for the trip, having to stop a couple of times along the way to keep her Model 3 running smoothly.
