Vincent With 4 Hits As J&J Automotive Repair Beat Our Lady of Lourdes

Vincent D collected four hits in four at bats, as J&J Automotive Repair defeated Our Lady of Lourdes 13-11 on Thursday at LaGrange Park. Vincent D singled in the second inning, doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Despite falling down by seven runs in the fourth inning, Our Lady of Lourdes tried to fight back. Our Lady of Lourdes closed the gap by scoring on a steal of home, a single, a walk, a walk, and a ground out.

J&J Automotive Repair got on the board in the first inning after Troy S singled, scoring one run.

Our Lady of Lourdes took the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first thanks to singles by Mark J, and Lawrence C.

J&J Automotive Repair took the lead, 3-2, in the top of the second thanks to singles by Vincent D, and Lucas C.

Colton M grounded out, which helped Our Lady of Lourdes tie the game at three in the bottom of the second.

Our Lady of Lourdes took the lead, 6-3, in the bottom of the third thanks to three walks.

J&J Automotive Repair flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring 10 runs on eight hits to take the lead, 13-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Lucas C following a 6-pitch at-bat that drove in two.

Our Lady of Lourdes scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. A steal of home scored one run, Ayden A singled, scoring one run, Colton M drew a walk, scoring one run, August M drew a walk, scoring one run, and Mark J grounded out, scoring one run.

Lucas C started the game for J&J Automotive Repair. The starter surrendered four hits and six runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking seven. Lawrence C stepped on the mound first for Our Lady of Lourdes. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (one earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none. Vincent D and Ian M each appeared in relief for J&J Automotive Repair.
