My biggest fear of taking the grill apart was breaking bolts off. Last nut on the parking light housing after soaking in penetrant and wd40 breaks off. So now have to wait for new housing and a headlight adjuster before it all goes back together.

After an hour of fighting 2 hidden bolts, the grill gave up and came off. Rust converter treatment on the inside then paint the core support gray to match the engine compartment, install the custom grill covers and chrome surrounds. Then wrestle it all back together and finish the rest of the bodywork.

Working on a couple of items after Car d'Alene - brakes weren't working right. They would stop but pedal was hard. Alastair noticed they shipped the master and proportioning valve plumbed with rear master chamber plumbed to rear brakes and front master chamber to front brakes - backwards! Now they work like power disc brakes should.
Adjusted the idle ramp down from 5 seconds to 8.5 seconds and increased the IAC (idle air control valve) a bit to provide more air at idle.
Now to figure why the headlights stopped working and cool that hot engine down more. Paint still to come!

Well she isn't pretty yet and not quite finished but Brian gave the ok to put her in the show with the trailer and Nova. They will be in "the drive-in" room. That sounds like fun!
