Got to test ride the 2026 Honda Transalp with E-Clutch.
Honda had brought a truck full of demo-bikes to a dealership and we could sign up to ride with their Ride Red Demo Days. BUT they didn't bring the new Transalp model, only older ones. The dealership (MotoSport Hillsboro) had a new one as test model and I got to ride that one.
The E-Clutch is an interesting concept. You still have to shift gears but don't need to use the clutch. Also for starting and stopping you can use the clutch but you don't have too. That's great for riding in traffic jams, but also for riding in technical off-road as you can't stall the bike.
The 2026 model also has adjustable suspension and an aluminum bash plate, for just over $10k.
