New Product Launch!

One of the most annoying things after a race is washing the car and having to put the dirty raced air filter back on just to fire the car and pull it into the shop.

So we designed a Holley Carb Wash Down Cover.

Now you can wash the car, protect the carburetor from water, and move the car without reinstalling the nasty air filter.

Simple solution to a problem every racer deals with.

April is **Autism Acceptance Month**, and one thing that often gets overlooked is how neurodivergent brains compare to the general population when it comes to cognitive ability.

In the **general U.S. population**, IQ follows a normal distribution:
• Average IQ is **100**
• About **68% of people fall between 85–115**
• Only about **2% score above 130**, which is considered gifted

When researchers study **autism and ADHD**, the distribution often looks different.

Many individuals on the autism spectrum show what scientists call **“spiky cognitive profiles.”** That means instead of being evenly average across all areas, they often have **very strong abilities in specific domains** like pattern recognition, engineering, mathematics, or systems thinking.

Studies have found that:
• A significant portion of people with autism score **in the average or above-average IQ range**
• **Gifted-level IQ appears more frequently among people with ADHD** than in the general population
• Neurodivergent individuals are statistically more likely to show **exceptional ability in specialized cognitive areas**

This doesn’t mean autism or ADHD automatically equals higher intelligence.

What it does mean is that **different brain wiring produces different strengths.**

Many of the people who design machines, solve complex problems, and see patterns others miss are often thinking a little differently than everyone else.

Acceptance isn’t just about support.

It’s about recognizing that **different minds move the world forward in different ways.**

Every new go-kart driver starts the same way—unsure, learning, searching for their place on the track.

And sometimes… all it takes is one moment to change everything.

One piece of advice.
One encouraging word.
One mentor who takes the time to say, “Here’s how you get better.”

That moment can ignite confidence… or silence it.

In racing, talent matters—but guidance builds champions. The way we treat new drivers, the way we coach, support, and push them—it can start a career or quietly end one before it ever gets going.

So next time you see a new racer in the pits or on the track…
Take a minute. Share what you know. Be the reason they come back.

Because the future of racing isn’t just built on speed—
it’s built on people who care enough to pass it on.

April is Autism Acceptance Month.

Yesterday we talked about how different wiring does not mean broken wiring.

Today we want to share an interesting way some researchers explain different brain styles.

It is sometimes called the “Hunter vs Farmer” theory.

Hundreds of years ago, people in a tribe often fell into different roles.

Some were farmers. Their strengths were patience, routine, repetition, and long term planning. Those traits were perfect for planting crops, tending fields, and maintaining steady systems.

Others were hunters.

Hunters had a different kind of mind. They constantly scanned their surroundings. They noticed small details others missed. They reacted quickly. They thrived in high pressure situations where fast decisions mattered.

In the modern world, schools and offices tend to reward the farmer style brain.

Sit still. Follow routine. Complete repetitive tasks.

But environments like racing reward a different set of skills.

Situational awareness.
Fast decision making.
Pattern recognition.
Mechanical thinking.
Extreme focus under pressure.

Sound familiar?

Many people on the autism spectrum share some of these same strengths. When they find the right environment, those traits can become powerful advantages.

Motorsports has always been full of thinkers, builders, and problem solvers who see the world a little differently.

At TRC we believe those minds belong here.

Different minds see different solutions.
Different minds build better machines.
Different minds move the sport forward.

April is Autism Acceptance Month.

A lot of people have asked what TRC stands for.

TRC = TISM Racing Chassis.

The name was intentional.

Autism isn’t a flaw. It’s simply a different way the brain processes the world. Many of the traits commonly associated with autism — pattern recognition, hyper focus, attention to detail, and systems thinking — are the same traits that drive engineering, fabrication, and motorsports innovation.

Racing is built on people who think differently.

Drivers who see lines others don’t.
Engineers who notice details others miss.
Fabricators who obsess over precision.

Different wiring can produce incredible performance.

That belief is part of the philosophy behind the TRC chassis platform.

Throughout April we’ll be sharing a few thoughts about autism, engineering, and why different ways of thinking make the racing community stronger.
