This 2026 Winnebago EKKO storage upgrade is starting to come together. 🔧

We cut the piano hinge to fit, predrilled the mounting holes, and started lining everything up so the original wall panel can become a functional storage door.

Because the panel is thick, we also have to trim the inside edge at an angle so it can swing open without binding.

The goal is simple: add usable hidden storage while keeping the finished panel looking as close to factory as possible.

This 2026 Winnebago EKKO had more storage hiding behind the wall than you would ever guess. 👀

We removed the factory panel, opened up a deep unused cavity, cleaned up the wiring, and started converting the original panel into a functional storage door with a piano hinge and magnetic latches.

The best part is that it will still sit flush and look factory while giving the customer a lot more usable storage space.

We found extra storage hiding inside this 2026 Winnebago EKKO. 🔧

Behind a simple factory wall panel was a deep unused cavity that could be turned into useful storage. The plan is to convert the original panel into a functional door so the customer has more room for shades, table pedestals, and other RV gear.

This is a smart Winnebago EKKO modification that adds storage without taking away any interior space.

We turned wasted space inside this 2026 Winnebago EKKO Class B RV into functional storage. 🔧

Behind what looked like a normal wall panel was a deep unused cavity, so we converted the original panel into a working storage door with a piano hinge, magnetic latches, and a clean factory style fit.

Now the customer has extra room for shades, table pedestals, and other RV gear without sacrificing interior space.

If you are into smart RV storage ideas, Class B upgrades, and custom RV modifications, this one is worth watching.

Small framing details make a big difference in an RV floor repair.

We added extra stringers along an unsupported edge so the new subfloor has something solid to sit on. That helps keep the boards flush and prevents them from separating when weight is applied.

Once the framing is finished, we can add insulation and start fitting the new floor sections into place.

This RV floor repair is getting some serious reinforcement. 🔧

We glued and screwed the new framing together, stair stepped the repair into the existing structure, and added extra support around the slide out where the floor has a higher chance of becoming a weak point.

The goal is not just to patch the damaged area. It is to rebuild it so the floor is strong, stable, and ready for years of use.

Once the damaged decking came up, we could finally see how far the water damage had spread.

The main beam had to be partially replaced, the area needed time to dry, and new framing and crossmembers had to be added before the new subfloor could go back in.

This is why preventative RV sealing and regular inspections are so important. Small leaks around trim and seams can slowly turn into major structural damage.

There is a lot more planning behind an RV floor repair than just cutting out rotten wood. 🔧

We use the factory screw locations to help identify where the original framing is underneath the floor. That gives us a roadmap for where to make our cuts and where to add new support so the replacement subfloor is fully supported around the edges and through the middle.

Good framing is what makes an RV floor repair last.

When you do RV floor repairs all the time, you learn pretty quickly which tools actually hold up. 🔧

We use Diablo blades constantly for cutting damaged subfloor because they last, cut clean, and make tough jobs a little easier.

Budget tool sets have their place, but for professional RV repair work, quality tools are worth it.

Diablo, use em’ 😎
