Not all car are the same! BMW and Mini Cooper do not like to sit with a dead battery because it more often than not will corrupt your FRM/FEM. This module has been renamed and given more jobs to fill but they all will cause you issues if you don't keep a good battery in the car. Most of the time we can recode/repair the info but sometimes they have to be replaced. Both BMW and Mini Cooper require that the battery is registered otherwise your battery will fail within about a year because of overcharging. Other problems can arise because of some so called perfessionails take on a job that is over their head. This poor Mini is an example of both problems😢 The mechanic sadly destroyed the DME/ECM because of coding/programming issues that all diagnostic tools warn you about. Now this dash had to be removed to be able to extract info that the new/used DME requires to communicate with multiple other computers. Please do research and don't trust just anyone with an expensive diagnostic tool, just because they have one doesn't mean they know how to use it or will take responsibility if something goes wrong. This vehicle has been down for over 3 months and is going to cost way more to repair just because of the topics I've mentioned.

Had a customer that was having issues with their security system on a 2008 VW Beetle. The poor car had had been vandalized and moisture is starting to cause issues with the cluster. So I gave the customer their options based on price for each solution. Some will choose to go with the cheapest because of what the value of the car and some want to make sure that they never have to deal with the issue in the future. In this situation both were solved with the cheapest solution. IMMO OFF! Please keep in mind we will always give you all the options and let you decide. We pride ourselves in giving you the pros and cons for each solution and letting you decide what fits your needs and budget 🤙

A little insight on what we do and how we can help. Today's modern cars have not been easy for mechanics. Most people don't realize that if your engine control module/ECM doesn't speake to your transmission control module/TCM the car doesn't shift and if the cars security system/immobilizer doesn't speak with other modules like your body control module/BCM, your car won't start. Sadly mechanics have had to fight with the manufacturers just to get access to repair or replace modules that contain very important security info. which all need to be programmed. Yes they have access but the cost and having to learn complete different skills for most causes them to send you to a dealer. This is where we step in, we have the tools, software, and the skills to program, clone, change info, delete security, and repair broken modules. Please never leave your core at the parts stores until your car is up and running properly. Why? We can typically extract the info from it and write it into the used/replacement with no other programming needed, your vehicle will not even know the module was replaced. So even if the module doesn't talk to other modules or through the OBD port we can typically still get the info.FYI modules on most cars will cost 2 to 3 thousand dollars at the dealership. Through your mechanic working with us it can be cut by 2/3's.
Have a great day and Don't Overpay 🤙

RGV Automotive Module Medic would like to say Hi 🤙 So for all the people that know us for locksmith services, we have changed to Automotive module repair, cloning, and programming. Why? Over the years I've seen a real need for it, because of dealer pricing and a lack of mechanics that can afford all the expensive programming equipment. This is why we prefer to work along side mechanics, that you trust and have built a relationship with. We also want the public/end-user to know we welcome working with you as well. To be fair the dealer software does not allow them to program a used module at times and they are bond to the manufacturers software, we aren't! So we can save you thousands and also keep these modules that are perfectly fine out of the landfills. We will be providing pick-up and drop-off services for a price and we will help you find a used module to purchase. So if your mechanic tells you it has to go to the dealership because of programming please get them our number and we will do everything we can to get you back on the road without having to get a second mortgage. Thanks for sharing and getting the word out, and if you have any questions please feel free to call. We've chosen to keep same number just changed the name.
