Mechanic anxiety is installing a rear main seal and then spending 45 minutes gently touching the edge of it like a museum artifact trying to decide if one side is 0.7mm too high.

Because if it IS wrong:
the punishment is removing the transmission again.

There are very few automotive jobs with consequences this emotionally disproportionate.
