Setting valve lash doesn’t have to be complicated. We use the ICEO method on every engine we build, and it works every time.

ICEO = Intake Closing, Exhaust Opening

* Intake Closing → Adjust the Exhaust Valve
* Exhaust Opening → Adjust the Intake Valve

This method makes sure the lifter is on the base circle of the cam when you set lash—no guessing about crank position or firing order.
