The 80s were just behind us and BMW was thriving and enthusiast optimism was up due to the e30s success. BMW had a meeting and asked how can we ruin the heritage of the 3 series, build a crappier car but make it so fun to drive that nobody notices? And then the E36 was born. I hate this car more than any other BMW ever owned is by far more fun to drive than any other BMW I have ever owned. Clear coat failure, door cards that get loose, glove boxes that sag, and now mirrors that just fall off for no reason. I absolutely love driving this piece of crap

Make sure your diagnostic Port is securely clipped to your firewall or else you could potentially lose your car. Mine found its way onto the exhaust manifold and showed itself while driving on the highway with multiple lights flashing on the dash and poor drivability. Pulled off an exit into a parking lot and popped the hood only to see flames under the hood. Fortunately they had not spread past the diagnostic connector so I was able to smother out the flames with the rag.

Pinstripes and beltline trim removed. Pressure washed and unfortunately a compound job will not be necessary. This poor girl needs fresh paint. We're waiting for Euro bumpers to show up, but we are highly considering continuing the removal of the rest of the trim and dropping this off at a good paint shop.
