Since 1984, J&B has been carving out a niche in the billet aluminum hot rod accessory market. With a full service machine shop at hand, craftsmanship is our #1 priority. We constantly strive to design and manufacture quality billet accessories and components. Our products emulate innovation in that our products are designed in shape and function, unlike any other products on the market today. Thro

ugh the years our product line, as well as our custom one-off pieces, have been displayed on high quality vehicles featured in hundreds of nationally recognized magazines. We are equally as proud to manufacture both stock and one-off accessories for cars that are driven to every event they attend. Committed to excellence in quality of design and manufacturing, J & B will be introducing new products as they are developed. Watch for these new products to be highlighted in our New Products section of our web site & our page. We thank all of our past customers for allowing us to design & manufacture, through the years, off the shelf & one off parts for their rod, custom, street machine & or classic truck & look forward to designing & making parts for future customers, too !

While observing the hotrods at the NSRA Louisville Nationals I came across this very cool 46 Ford sedan coupe owned by Rusty & Cathy Clark ! This fat fendered Ford has an awesome look with its stance, body mods, custom interior & a nice choice of wheels & body color. Rusty & his wife wanted to change the original gauging to Classic instruments, 4 5/8" variety & the dashboard area looks & functions great as a result. Wanting to keep an original looking theme the Classic 4 5/8" speedometer & a 4 5/8" four gauge unit needed a machined adapter ring to properly mount the gauges into the original dashboard chrome trim. So, I made two custom adapter rings, a pair of our #1595 upper ash tray k***s, one off driver's side ribbed panel (complete with optional LED indicator lights) that matched the ribbed glove box door trim piece that I handcrafted to complete the look & function the Clark's were in search of. Our #1583 46-48 Ford dash panels & adapters product can be seen in various forms, both one off & off the shelf in the photos of this post on other customer cars.

The Evansville "Frog Follies" took place this past weekend under mostly sunny skies & what an event it was ! This event is like stepping back into the 90's with many participating hot rods that I can remember built in the 90's & early 2000's & they're still looking really good to this day. Saw some really cool hot rods that I hadn't seen before, too. Of course, what would an event of this magnitude be without the people ! Talked with many hot rodders on Thursday & Friday & all were in good spirits. This was the first "Frog Follies" that we've been to & glad we attended ! I'll post segment # 2 tomorrow.

Really like 32 Ford tudors, with fenders or without. This awesome & cool 32 Ford tudor was spotted at the Des Moines GG event & upon closer examination I noticed it has one of our #1568 polished, six gauge, 32 Ford dash panels assembled to the dashboard. The extra gauge bore is for a tachometer which is a very useful gauge for monitoring engine rpm in all speed ranges. Our #1568 32 dash panel is available with gauge bores that are custom sized for all manufacturer's gauges including, Classic, Autometer, VDO etc. For more info message us or inquire using the comments. Thanks !

Jeff Goodwin & his family are from Australia & are in the midst of touring America. One of the planned stops was Pontiac, Illinois where he & his family took in the museums & other sites including the Pontiac Cruise Night. Jeff is a fellow machinist/toolmaker & we became fast friends because of our shared skills. Great guy & family ! Thanks, Jeff, for the video of our 46 Ford ! Hope your tour of America is a memorable one.

For double play Thursday two trucks are featured for this week's post. The two trucks shown are very fine examples of creativity, engineering & workmanship & both have individually garnered National recognition from NSRA & Goodguys events in the recent past ! The first truck is a custom/classic 53 Chevy built by the husband & wife team of Dennis & Cyndi Quin. Their creation defines the smooth & cool look with body panels hammered & carefully massaged straight as an arrow & in alignment with one another & the gaps held tight & consistent with plenty of custom bodywork tricks along the way. The modern drivetrain is mounted to a custom chassis & suspension & provides the necessary performance & handling especially when Dennie takes it to the autocross track. Dennis & Cyndi's hauler was awarded a "Top Truck" award at the 2026 NSRA Mid-America Nationals & is featured in this month's Streetscene magazine (August 2026). The Quin's Chevy pickup is a former (2024) J&B Craftsmanship Award winner & justifiably so ! Congratulations Quin's !
The second custom truck is a 96 Chevy duallie, owned by Mike Barcia that's in my opinion the finest OBS truck ever built to date. With miles of perfectly massaged body work, paint & graphics, a custom bed that's a work of art, a meticulously created, assembled & upholstered interior, super detailed big block with a meticulous surround of tin work & a chassis, suspension & undercarriage detailed as well as the exterior this truck has been a huge undertaking by Mike & his crew. The extreme efforts were well worth the effort as Mike's 96 Chevy truck was awarded a "Builder's Choice" award that was selected by Will Posey of Big Oak Garage at the Goodguys event in Georgia & is featured in this month's Goodguys Gazette (September 2026) for event coverage. Mike's OBS is a former "Truck of the Year" chosen by Street Trucks magazine !
Really happy for Dennis & Cyndi Quin & Mike Barcia & the achievements & contributions they have made to the sport & happy to have been asked to handcraft parts for both trucks !

In honor of Ed Henderson, Greg Grier who is the caretaker of Ed's "Spirit of 36" 36 Ford, had it transported by his friend Josh Deavers to the NSRA Nationals from Georgia ! This very cool 36 Ford was invited to be part of the Vintage Air sponsored "Vintage 36" display indoors in the main exhibition hall. Greg & his son completely detailed the car before the event & it looked great under the lights ! This meant a lot to Greg & I'm happy for him to be able to display the "Spirit of 36" at such a grand event.
