How about a vacuum regulated, ruptured, fuel damper to ruin your day? 🫣

Diaphragm ruptured allowing 53psi of fuel to be fed through the vacuum hose into the intake. Filled the intercooler right up!
•
Luckily this was a key on engine off situation!

Let’s talk about the importance of clean fuel and your diesel truck. Or rather, the importance of proper maintenance and regular service intervals.

A filter like the one pictured can cause thousands of dollars in damage and repairs. This one in particular was restricting flow so much it was starving the high pressure pump causing a drop in rail pressure . Instead of commanded 20k psi it was dropping to 1200ish under acceleration while driving.
•
I personally change my fuel filters (at minimum) with the seasons. Because clean fuel is so important to prevent fuel system damage.
•
I may look at it “old school” but I don’t trust a service interval counter on the display to tell me when it’s due. Never know when you’re getting dirty diesel from a station.
•

Don’t worry though, we don’t use who everyone else does for transmission rebuilds! That’s why the reliability is so high! With a “stock” rebuild the includes only upgraded internal parts and custom built HD converters.

Paired with many extra steps we take to ensure the life of the transmission that most places do not do. All the way down to a simple OEM reflash or custom trans shift points.

Is it your cheapest option? Probably not. But we stand behind what we do. So in the rare occurrence you do experience something odd, you better believe it will take priority!

Another busy year! Here’s to 5 years in business! 4D Garage would like to thank each and every person that trust us with their vehicles and also thank God for the blessing of opportunity to serve people. While we can’t please everyone, and sometimes I (Derek) can drop the ball on something. We definitely pride ourselves in giving the best service we can!

Each year is full of new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow! We look forward each day to what knowledge is to be gained!
