SANTA ROSA SEASON FINAL SET FOR SEPT 25

The Ramspur Winery Santa Rosa Mile presented by Triumph will serve as the 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track season finale.The Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, Calif. will play host to the top dirt track motorcycle racing talent in the world on Sunday, September 25 where the next Grand National Champion will be crowned.

“We are thrilled and honored to bring back such a prestigious race,” said Otton. “Steve and I are excited to be returning this picturesque mile, three-day event to the schedule with a fresh approach and high expectations. Our team is committed to top level event production, improving our fan experience and providing the best racing possible. It will contain more excitement for the fans, more opportunities for the riders and more exposure for the industry. We, in collaboration with AMA Pro Racing, intend to set the bar with this finale, in order to showcase and initiate the evolution and broadening of the sport for 2017.”

The mile race will bring a new level of excitement to fans and riders alike, as the promoters plan to deliver a variety of family-friendly entertainment over the course of the weekend.

Buddy Stubbs – Named Grand Marshall for the Inaugural Law Tigers AMA Pro Arizona Mile
AMA legend and Phoenix entrepreneur Buddy Stubbs is the Inaugural Law Tigers AMA Pro Arizona Mile Grand Marshall. Buddy Stubbs, AMA Pro Champion, is probably best known in the Phoenix area for his chain of successful Harley-Davidson dealers. Former racer, former stunt rider for Hollywood films and all around good-guy Buddy, is celebrating 50 years of Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson in the Phoenix area.
“I'm really excited to be part of the Arizona Mile, as it coincides with me being the Harley dealer here in Phoenix for 50 great years,” said Stubbs about being the Grand Marshall for the race.

As a special treat, Buddy has taken his 1972 Harley-Davidson XR 750 out of his North Cave Creek Road dealership' motorcycle collection, and will be running a few honorary laps on the Arizona Mile to kick off the opening ceremonies.

The First Mile Track of the Year in Arizona Ignites Old Rivalries
With the first mile race track of the year set for Saturday May 14 at the Law Tigers AMA Pro Arizona Mile presented by Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson, old rivals and current top point standings contenders Jared Mees, Sammy Halbert and Bryan Smith look forward to the challenge of this big race track. A spectacular setting in the valley of the sun awaits the riders as this marks the first time the AMA Pro bikes have ever competed on the beautiful one-mile Turf Paradise race track. The first mile of the season is a big test of who spent their off season productively.

“My team has been working hard to build me a good mile weapon. We're gonna be ready this year, Jared and the rest of the boys are going to have to deal with me every race,” said 2016 Daytona winner and current points leader Sammy Halbert who rides the number #69 BriggsAuto.com Harley-Davidson.

Three time AMA Pro Champion Jared Mees who definitely has a target on his back this year is also looking forward to being out on the mile for the first time in 2016. “I’m looking forward to the first mile of the year in Arizona and beating Bryan Smith and Sammy (Halbert),” commented Mees who rides the #1 plate Harley-Davidson and who is sponsored by Las Vegas Harley-Davidson.

Kawasaki will have a few top riders in the hunt at the Arizona Mile and specifically last year’s Springfield Mile II winner Bryan Smith aboard his Crossley Brands Kawasaki. “My Kawasaki is ready to pick up where we left off last season and dominant the miles, starting at the Arizona Mile,” said Smith about the upcoming race.
Halbert, Smith and Mees will have their hands full with a whole host of characters itching to win the first mile race of the season including current top five points contenders Jake Johnson on his Zanotti Racing Harley and Brandon Robinson on the Kennedy Racing Harley-Davidson.

Los Angeles, CA – Due to an unforeseen scheduling change for redevelopment at LA Fairplex, the Activation Group regretfully has announced that the 2015 AMA Law Tigers Flat Track Finals has been canceled for 2015. Despite the efforts of the promoters to get one last race in for 2015, the famed half-mile Pomona racetrack which was built in the 1928, will be demolished with plans for future development. Because of the timing involved around the redevelopment of the LA Fairplex property, there isn’t sufficient time to find a replacement venue for 2015.
“There is so much motorcycle racing history here at Pomona, it’s a shame to see this place go away. The AMA Law Tigers Flat Track Finals presented by Pomona Valley Harley-Davidson and Harley-Davidson of Glendale, was a pleasure to put on over the last five years. In addition, LA Fairplex was a great partner and we’ll miss hosting the race at this famous venue. But as one door closes another one opens,” said Chris Morgan, co-promoter of the Flat Track Finals.
The AMA Law Tigers Flat Track Finals team has been actively finding a replacement venue to once again host the race in 2016. Negotiations are under way with two potential Southern California venues, both of which would be exciting hosts for AMA Flat Track racing. Watch for more updates coming soon on the 2016 events.
