It’s been a while since I last updated any of the projects in the shop.

The 54 International Truck is back to fix a broken door latch, fit and install a custom wood bed floor, and fabricate, paint & install a filler panel to fill the gap caused by raising the bed floor 8 inches.

The 41 Plymouth truck has all the suspension mocked up and welded in, the gas tank relocated to the rear of the truck, and now the cab has been temporarily reinstalled as well as the front grill/radiator support so mock up for the 5.7 Hemi and Tremac 6 Speed manual transmission can begin.

I’m finally able to get a little time back at the 69 Mustang Mach 1 after letting it sit for a few months so that the solvents have time to evaporate out of the final primer to make sure it’s good and cured so we don’t have any shrinking issues. Now time to start spending HOURS sanding to get it ready for some color. Also in the mean time I’ve gotten the engine and transmission painted and ready for installation as well.

A little update on the 70 Ford Bronco, and 40 Plymouth pickup projects in the shop. All the rusted panels have been cut out and replaced on the Bronco, getting it closer to final body work and paint. On the 40 Plymouth the old front suspension and front 3’ of the frame has been cut off, new frame rail fabricated, and a New Mustang II suspension was customized to fit. Along with that the inner remaining front frame rails have been boxed in to strengthen the frame. Next the rear suspension will be cut out, the frame will be c-notched and the rear rails boxed in, a Ford Explorer 8.8 rear axle will get narrowed, then it will receive a 4-Link suspension setup with adjustable coilovers shocks.

A few ongoing and new projects in the shop! The 69 Mustang is in final fit along with some interior color applied, heater box restored, steering column restored, and most of the upgraded wiring harness installed. The Engine and transmission are at a local shop being gone over before the next phase of color and installation. A 70 Ford Bronco just got dropped off for a bunch of new body panels and a complete color change. And my personal father/son project made it in to shop, a 1941 Plymouth Pt115 pickup. The truck frame will be getting lowered 8” and modified with a Mustang II style adjustable coil over front suspension and a narrowed Ford Explorer 8.8 rear axle with a triangle 4-Link coil over suspension. After that it will get fit with a 5.7 Hemi, a possible manual transmission, and receive a full treatment of bodywork and paint.

A little 69 Mustang update. The metal work has been completed and the car completely disassembled again. The Mustang was placed on the rotisserie to allow better access to the underside, then the remaining primer and paint were either stripped, or sandblasted off the car shell, doors, and front fenders to get a nice clean surface. Next the car shell, fenders and doors all received a good coat of black epoxy and the interior seam were seam sealed. Also, the rear axle was disassembled, sandblasted, painted, received some new seals, then converted from a drum brakes to disc brakes.

1954 International R110 project truck is getting closer to the end of the build. The truck has been grafted onto a 02 Dodge Dakota chassis that was shortened 4 inches. It’s running a 02 Durango 5.9L with an automatic transmission and upgraded with 04 Dakota bigger brakes and rear axle. The firewall and floor of the Dakota was grafted onto the International cab, and the bed of the floor has been cut out and raised and will receive a custom wood floor. A Vintage Air aftermarket Heat & A/C unit has been installed along with adding power windows and power remote door locks. A Retro Sounds Stereo system was installed along with custom made speaker enclosures, all new windows ,and custom made door trim panels. There is still some work left to complete but the end is in sight.
