What a day. โค๏ธ
We're still trying to put into words just how thankful we are after Saturday's Clare Repair Truck & Tractor Show. What started as an idea turned into something bigger than we ever imagined, and it's all because of this incredible community.
First, we want to mention that our scheduled food truck had to cancel the morning of the show due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope everyone involved is doing okay. Thankfully, we were able to scramble together hot dogs, and a huge thank you goes to JM Watkins for having them on hand!
Congratulations to Jay Bauer of Bauer & Son Trucking, who took home the Hogebuilt Fenders generously donated by K&D Transport! Video is in the comments.
To everyone who hauled in a truck, tractor, piece of equipment, or anything in betweenโthank you. Seeing people pull machines out of the shed, wipe off the dust, and proudly share a piece of their history was exactly what we hoped this show would be about. Whether your equipment was 80 years old or nearly brand new, every single piece mattered. There simply isn't a truck and tractor show without the people willing to bring them.
Thank you to everyone from Plum City and the surrounding communities who came out to spectate, support, and spread the word. The turnout was incredible, and seeing so many families, friends, and fellow truck and tractor enthusiasts enjoying the day meant the world to us.
A special thank you to:
โข Plum City Fire Department for bringing their awesome original fire engine.
โข Fetzer Farms for an amazing display that perfectly showcased how farming has evolvedโfrom the Farmall M that represented their early years to the John Deere 9470 they use today to pack silage.
โข Pettis Transport for making the trip all the way from Augusta, Wisconsin, with the original Bush's Beans cabover and trailer.
โข Zeilinger Trucking for displaying their beautiful Kenworth.
โข Ben Burshem for bringing the impressive 65 Ton Rotator Tow Truck.
โข Adam Johnson and K&D Transport for the display of stunning red Kenworths.
โข Will Miller with Willpower Equipment Repair for bringing the vintage grader.
We also want to give an extra special thank you to some amazing people who helped make this event happen behind the scenes. To the Hilsgens, thank you for always being there and lending a hand wherever it was needed. To the Stoudt family of Stoudt Ridge Solutions, thank you for all of your hard work and support leading up to and during the show. And to Mike and Bekki McFadden, thank you for setting up a booth and for your generous donation of refreshments. We truly couldn't have done this without friends like you.
To everyone who volunteered, helped park vehicles, set up, cleaned up, bought apparel, grabbed a hot dog, entered the raffle, shared our posts, or simply stopped by to support usโthank you. Every single one of you helped make this day what it was.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in Clare Repair and helping make our very first Truck & Tractor Show one we'll never forget.
Here's to many more years of bringing this community together. โค๏ธ๐๐
