We've been a little quiet on here lately... but that definitely doesn't mean we've been sitting around! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ”ง

The shop has been BUSY! Here's a little of what we've been up to lately:

๐ŸšŒ Put a new fuel tank on a bus.

๐Ÿš› Had a couple Volvos roll in needing new front leaf spring bushings. That meant it was time to put our special Tiger Tool adapters to work! ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ“‹ We've also knocked out several DOT inspections.

One truck came in for what was supposed to be a DOT inspection, but like we always sayโ€”you never know what you're going to find! ๐Ÿ‘€ We discovered a leaking front main seal along with some differential lock issues. We pulled the differential and replaced the differential lock fork to get everything taken care of.

Just another reminder that sometimes a quick inspection turns into a little more than expected! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

We have 2 silage truck builds in the process also right now! - more posts on that to come.

We've got plenty going on around Clare Repair, and we're grateful to everyone who continues to trust us with their trucks and equipment! ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿš›

The Pierce County Fair has been happening here in the area this week ๐ŸŽก๐ŸŒญ

Weโ€™ve also been working with steers here at Clare Repair. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I just got done changing the steer tires on this Sterling dump truck, along with all 8 other tires.

Definitely a different kind of steer than youโ€™ll find at the fairโ€ฆ but Iโ€™ll tell you what, these ones can be just as stubborn! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”ง

Good luck to all the kids showing at the fair! We hope you have had a great week and enjoy every minute of it! ๐Ÿ‚โค๏ธ

Bryce has been putting in some work!

Last week he tackled a head gasket job on a Case 621B loader for a local farmer. ๐Ÿšœ

Keeping equipment up and running is important, especially when you depend on it to get the job done daily. Bryce got this loader tore down, the head gasket replaced, and everything back together and ready to get back to work!

We love watching Bryce continue to learn, take on bigger jobs, and build his skills along the way. Another one in the books! ๐Ÿ’ช

Eric has had the pleasure of working on this International 9400 this week that is literally as old as we are! ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ”ง(We won't mention the year ๐Ÿคช)

The customer brought it in because it had an intermittent miss. After about 10 minutes of troubleshooting, Eric tracked down the culprit. The truck had previously had an injector replaced, but the pass-through wasn't replaced at the same time. In our opinion, the pass-through should always be replaced when installing a new injector. He also found pins pulling out of the injector harness, so this truck got new pass-throughs and a new injector harness.

The customer also mentioned the speedometer wasn't working. After some digging, Eric found that a few pins inside a connector were making contact when they shouldn't have been. Bryce and I had front-row seats as we watched Eric lay on the air horn and throw a few celebratory hand motions when the speedometer finally came back to life. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Those are the moments that make the job fun!

While inspecting everything else, Eric also noticed excessive play in the turbo shaft. He's in the process of installing a new turbo, and before long this International will be back on the road hauling corn.

Sometimes it's the little details that make all the difference ๐Ÿš›๐Ÿ”ง

There are a lot of things we cannot control in this world, but one thing we can do is invest in the next generation!

Our kids deserve people who believe in them, encourage them and create opportunities for them to grow. That is exactly what the Plum City FFA Alumni is all about.

Join them next Tuesday @ 7 PM and officially become a part of the alumni chapter. Whether you farm, work in agriculture, own a business or simply care about supporting local youth, you have something VALUABLE to offer!

If you've ever wanted to make a difference or be a part in your community, this is a great opportunity!

๐Ÿšœ Just ONE WEEK to Go! ๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

In just one week, we'll be taking an exciting step as we officially become the Plum City FFA Alumni!

๐Ÿ“… Tuesday, August 4
๐Ÿ•– 7:00 PM
๐Ÿ“ Plum City High School

If you believe in agriculture, leadership, and investing in the next generation, we'd love to have you join us. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A FORMER FFA MEMBER TO JOINโ€”if you have a passion for supporting agricultural education and helping local students succeed, there's a place for you.

This is your chance to be part of something meaningful. Together, we can create opportunities, support our FFA chapter, and make a lasting difference in the lives of these kids.

Bring a friend, spread the word, and come see what we're building. We hope to see you there! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Today's milestone: the first repair in the new shop. ๐Ÿค˜

I get the honor of doing the first job, which also means I get to experience something every mechanic dreams about... laying on a perfectly clean concrete floor. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Eric had to join me just to share in the excitement! Here's to many more years of hard work on this floor!

We're also definitely in the market for a floor scrubber! Any reccomendations?

What a day. โค๏ธ

We're still trying to put into words just how thankful we are after Saturday's Clare Repair Truck & Tractor Show. What started as an idea turned into something bigger than we ever imagined, and it's all because of this incredible community.

First, we want to mention that our scheduled food truck had to cancel the morning of the show due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope everyone involved is doing okay. Thankfully, we were able to scramble together hot dogs, and a huge thank you goes to JM Watkins for having them on hand!

Congratulations to Jay Bauer of Bauer & Son Trucking, who took home the Hogebuilt Fenders generously donated by K&D Transport! Video is in the comments.

To everyone who hauled in a truck, tractor, piece of equipment, or anything in betweenโ€”thank you. Seeing people pull machines out of the shed, wipe off the dust, and proudly share a piece of their history was exactly what we hoped this show would be about. Whether your equipment was 80 years old or nearly brand new, every single piece mattered. There simply isn't a truck and tractor show without the people willing to bring them.

Thank you to everyone from Plum City and the surrounding communities who came out to spectate, support, and spread the word. The turnout was incredible, and seeing so many families, friends, and fellow truck and tractor enthusiasts enjoying the day meant the world to us.

A special thank you to:
โ€ข Plum City Fire Department for bringing their awesome original fire engine.
โ€ข Fetzer Farms for an amazing display that perfectly showcased how farming has evolvedโ€”from the Farmall M that represented their early years to the John Deere 9470 they use today to pack silage.
โ€ข Pettis Transport for making the trip all the way from Augusta, Wisconsin, with the original Bush's Beans cabover and trailer.
โ€ข Zeilinger Trucking for displaying their beautiful Kenworth.
โ€ข Ben Burshem for bringing the impressive 65 Ton Rotator Tow Truck.
โ€ข Adam Johnson and K&D Transport for the display of stunning red Kenworths.
โ€ข Will Miller with Willpower Equipment Repair for bringing the vintage grader.

We also want to give an extra special thank you to some amazing people who helped make this event happen behind the scenes. To the Hilsgens, thank you for always being there and lending a hand wherever it was needed. To the Stoudt family of Stoudt Ridge Solutions, thank you for all of your hard work and support leading up to and during the show. And to Mike and Bekki McFadden, thank you for setting up a booth and for your generous donation of refreshments. We truly couldn't have done this without friends like you.

To everyone who volunteered, helped park vehicles, set up, cleaned up, bought apparel, grabbed a hot dog, entered the raffle, shared our posts, or simply stopped by to support usโ€”thank you. Every single one of you helped make this day what it was.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in Clare Repair and helping make our very first Truck & Tractor Show one we'll never forget.

Here's to many more years of bringing this community together. โค๏ธ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿš›
