So the hubby is getting into RC cars and such! He asked me to paint our Homestead logo on one of his trucks on the doors and then put our names in the back window. Here’s the finished project.

So thankful for the Sunshine this week! Looking forward to cooler weather starting soon. Finishing up canning season in the next month or two. Baking has begun for pickup and a new stand will be outside for self-serve products in the near future we will keep you updated. We hope you guys enjoy your weekend! Thanks for checking in! 🤗

Update! Well we will see if we lose our tomato plants some are dying off so we picked them and will see if they bounce back or not. Cucumbers are half gone too. So we will try again next year! Hopefully my greenhouse will be functioning by then and we will be able weather willing to have another good harvest for our family. Had a great cucumber harvest for personal use and tomatoes have provided us some sauce and salsa so far. We have been learning so much so far and keep improving the way we grow things. Sometimes the weather takes things out in the garden out which is sad yet God provides us with food to can every year. We just try to purchase off of other local farms to finish out what we need.

Well so far all we have lost is a couple green bean plants from floodagedon. And our driveway washed out twice so far. Fixed that today temporarily since we are getting more rain hopefully not hard rains that cause flooding again. Pray for Perry county. Tennessee And all other Places that got more rains and storms than we have had.
We went out to gather all the tomato’s that fell off vines during the rain. Sorting tomatoes seems like the song that never ends. Plan on making some more salsa today and spaghetti sauce to can and put away for later. Then making more zucchini bread if you want some message me for pricing.

Trying to keep up with harvesting the veggies this week. Made zucchini bread, made pickles and relish, and canned some green beans. So many tomatoes and cucumbers. A lot of work yet so worth it to provide fresh pesticide free food. Let it keep coming and I will sell some and donate to our food pantry.

Feeling blessed, loved, and chosen By God. Planting seeds of self sufficiency too by showing and letting kids see how it is done.

Well tomatoes are turning, cucumbers and zucchini, green peppers and Pablano peppers are growing good. Looks like our green beans are starting to produce. I’ve canned corn salsa, sweet relish, tomato salsa, dill and bread n butter pickles, corn and some green beans we bought from another local farm.

Next is making some zucchini bread and muffins!

My new venture is starting to look like it might happen sooner than expected. Still working on some details. So keeping it mostly to myself for now. Praying for all who were affected by storm damage this week. School is going to start back up soon! Watch out for children getting on or off the bus. Hope y’all stay safe this week.
