About the Role
Valley Moto Shop is looking for a skilled, gear-headed Mechanic who lives and breathes off-road riding. While we service all makes and models, our primary focus is on Dirt Bikes (MX, Enduro, and Dual-Sport). We need someone who can take a bike from a “box of parts” to “race-ready” with precision and speed.
Key Responsibilities
Engine & Performance: Full top and bottom-end rebuilds on 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.
Suspension: Fork and shock servicing, including re-valving and spring rate setups for rider weight.
Diagnostics: Troubleshooting electrical issues, EFI mapping, and carburetor tuning.
Routine Maintenance: Valve adjustments, chain/sprocket kits, tire swaps (including bib mousses/tubliss), and fluid services.
Quality Control: Test riding bikes (off-road and street) to ensure 100% reliability before customer pickup.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of professional shop experience preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong personal mechanical backgrounds may be considered for “C-Tech” roles.
Skills: Strong understanding of off-road geometry and high-performance racing
Attitude: Reliability is everything. You must be able to work independently in a fast-paced “fluid” environment.
Pay & Hours (The “Fluid” Model)
At Valley Moto, we understand that the riding season is dynamic. We offer a flexible scheduling model:
Fluid Hours: During the peak season (Spring/Summer), expect 45+ hours with potential overtime. During the winter “build season,” hours are more flexible, allowing for personal projects or shorter weeks.
