A quick rip and then glue and then sand and then put together and wax, and a brand new creation for the holidays exists.
I was tempted to not make it, for timing was short. But I am happy I didn't listen to disgruntled voice in my head and forged a head, creating this little beauty.
Granted, I would have rather it been larger, or more of a red wood. But as a prototype, and first of its kind, it turned out good.

With some left over wood from a previous project, I was able to leverage it into a new oven storage shelf, replacing the other that sat on top of the stove. This one covers the gap behind the oven, making it harder to drop things behind the oven. Whew.

Replaced a large key holder storage thing with a much sleeker version. Hooks in the back. Magnets in the front. Simply let it grab the keys and hold em. And enough room on top for a watch, a wallet. Not much more. Simple. From a beautiful piece of scrap.
